Alignlie ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted resume and job-description alignment service. This policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, and your choices.

Data we collect

Account data: name, email, phone (optional), job title (optional), and password (stored as a secure hash).

Resume and job-description content you upload for analysis, including files stored with our cloud file provider.

Usage data: session identifiers, IP address, device/browser metadata for security and fraud prevention.

Billing data: billing address, payment status, and transaction references processed by Razorpay (we do not store full card or UPI credentials).

How we use data

To provide resume/JD parsing, AI analysis, cover-letter generation, and related exports you request.

To manage subscriptions, CV credits, invoices, and payment reconciliation.

To send transactional email (activation, password reset, purchase confirmations, payment notices).

To improve reliability, security, and abuse prevention (rate limits, audit logs).

AI processing

Resume and job-description text may be sent to third-party AI providers (e.g. OpenAI) solely to generate analysis results you request.

Do not upload unlawful content or data you are not authorized to share. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of materials you submit.

Sharing and retention

We use infrastructure and service providers (hosting, database, Redis queues, email, Cloudinary, Razorpay, AI APIs) under contractual safeguards appropriate to their role.

We retain account and billing records as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request account deletion from Settings (see Terms).

Your rights

You may access and update profile information in the app. You may delete your account from Settings, which deactivates access and anonymizes core identifiers.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have additional rights (access, correction, erasure). Contact us using the support channel referenced in product emails.

Security

We use industry-standard practices including encrypted transport (HTTPS), httpOnly authentication cookies, and hashed passwords.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
